Victory Garden: You Show Us Yours and We’ll Show You Ours

We’ve got a new “Victory Garden” photostream on Photobucket that we’re going to stock with pictures of our own gardens—and we’re opening it up to the community. That’s right—we want to see your summer victory gardens!

This weekend, agrarian heartthrob-cum-Web Editor Jesse McDougall will be posting pictures of Hartland’s own magnificent community garden as they take up their hoes and plowshares, dig in the soil, and get their hands dirty. Throughout the summer, we’ll be posting updated photos of our veggies’ progress, and we hope you’ll do so, too.

When the season winds down, we’ll create a slideshow and post it to our website. Out of all the entries, we’ll pick out our very favorite garden pics. The top three gardeners will each get a copy of Fresh Food from Small Spaces: The Square-Inch Gardener’s Guide to Year-Round Growing, Fermenting, and Sprouting by R.J. Ruppenthal. Should be a lot of fun!
