Joel Salatin

Joel Salatin and his family own and operate Polyface Farm, arguably the nation's most famous farm since it was profiled in Michael Pollan's New York Times bestseller, The Omnivore's Dilemma and two subsequent documentaries, Food, Inc., and Fresh. An accomplished author and public speaker, Salatin has authored seven books. Recognition for his ecological and local-based farming advocacy includes an honorary doctorate, the Heinz Award, and many leadership awards.

On Friday, September 18th, Joel Salatin will be keynoting the National Products Expo East, which will be taking place September 16-19 in Baltimore, MD. Salatin's keynote speech will take place from 9:00-10:00AM in Room 308/309. The Exhibit Hall Pass for the conference is $495 before August 7th, and $545 after. The Super Pass for the conference is $620 before August 7th, and $770 after.

Salatin speech, "10 Thread that Successful Startup Farms Knit Together," will be on September 20th from 4:00-5:00PM on the Mother Earth News Stage. Wristband passes to the conference can be purchased for $30, though VIP and family packages are also available.

This outdoor event begins with an hour “meet and greet” with Joel at 11:00 AM, followed by a lunch made with locally sourced ingredients. After lunch Joel will speak and also provide the audience with the opportunity to ask questions. Tickets for this event are $60/ person or $100/couple.
