Unembedded on PBS

Kael Alford writes that

A new PBS series called American Investigative Reports is featuring photographs from “Unembedded” and the photographsof Paul Fusco in an episode on documentary photography and Iraq.
Some of you have been asking about details:

Paul Fusco’s featured work deals with the funerals of American servicemen and women killed in Iraq. Included will likely be footage from the “Unembedded” exhibit and Paul’s exhibit “Bitter Fruit”. It’s an honor to be included in the company of Fusco, a treasure of American documentary photography.

The program will air in the NYC area on Friday, October 6 at 10 pm EST.

It will be broadcast in other parts of the country at other times. You can search for airdates zipcode on their website: http://www.pbs.org/wnet/air

AIR is an ongoing series at PBS premiering this season. The program is already underway and features investigative journalism. The first episode was on hurricane Katrina and this week is related to the drug industry.

Thanks for everyone who’s contributed to the Unembedded project – from those of you who made the work possible in Iraq and in the US, to those who contributed to the book, helped with media, exhibit venues, logistics, fundraising, care & support.

It’s our hope that we are contributing to discussions focused on the deteriorating situation in Iraq and its human cost.
