Richard Wiswall started Cate Farm in East Montpelier, Vermont, where he has farmed since 1981. Known for his work on farm profitability and appropriate business tools, Wiswall consults with other farmers, and writes and speaks frequently on organic-farm business issues. Richard Wiswall will teach a workshop titled "Farm Mechanization Efficiencies" at the August 14-16 NOFA Summer Conference taking place at the University of Mass, Amherst. The workshop will take place on August 15th from 10:00AM to 11:30AM at Campus Center 163C. Wiswall will later teach another workshop on August 15th titled "Determining Your Costs of Production" from 1:00PM to 2:30PM at Campus Center 163C.
