Sophia Nguyen Eng

Sophia Nguyen Eng is the award-winning and best-selling author of The Nourishing Asian Kitchen: Nutrient-Dense Recipes for Health and Healing (Chelsea Green Publishing, 2023). Known for her Sprinkle With Soil website and as “The Homesteading Lender,” Sophia is a first-generation Vietnamese-American who left a successful career in Silicon Valley to steward a permaculture farm in eastern Tennessee. She is a certified Korean Natural Farming practitioner and, together with her husband, Tim, teaches natural farming principles both in-person and online, integrating ancestral Asian foodways with practical homestead application. A passionate advocate for food, farming, and family resilience, Sophia is also a Weston A.
