Chelsea Green Authors at Connecting for Change

It’s that time of year again – time for the Connecting for Change conference! We have a great lineup of authors speaking at the event this year – see the schedule below – and we are proud to be involved in this inspiring weekend for the sixth consecutive year.

Wondering what Connecting for Change is all about? Here’s the deal:

WHAT IS IT?

The Sixth Annual Connecting for Change: A Bioneers by the Bay Conference presented by the Marion Institute, in the historic Downtown of New Bedford, MA, on October 22-24, 2010, is an internationally acclaimed annual gathering of environmental, industry and social justice innovators who have demonstrated visionary and practical models for restoring the Earth and its inhabitants.

Over 2,000 students, teachers, green business innovators, scientists, grassroots leaders and everyday folks from across the East Coast will gather to embrace, share, brainstorm, network, heal, learn, teach, celebrate, recharge and connect for change. We will roll up our sleeves and harvest tangible, practical solutions to the specific challenges we face here in the Northeast and the world at-large.

WHEN IS IT?

The conference runs from Thursday evening, October 21st to Sunday afternoon, October 24th, in downtown New Bedford, MA.

WHY SHOULD YOU GO?

To experience three days of live keynote presentations, afternoon workshops, an inclusive family program, an extensive Youth Initiative program, a downlink of the 21st Annual Bioneers Conference in California, an exhibition hall featuring sustainable businesses and organizations, a community action center, films, music, art installations, a farmers’ market and local & organic food.

More importantly, to hear these authors speak live, and get them to answer your questions in person (and sign copies of their books for you and all your friends)!
