WATCH: Small Farmers Share Their Experience
Posted By dpacheco On March 14, 2009 @ 6:51 pm In Garden & Agriculture | No Comments
We found these great videos at [1] NYBeginningFarmerns.org of small farmers starting out in just about every area of agriculture there is. Some raise animals for meat; some, cows for milk, cheese, and yogurt; some have hundreds of chickens for year-round egg production. There’s at least one flower farmer, and one vintner. And these are all in the first video. (There are 12.)
If you’re thinking about starting your own small farm and want to hear about some of the challenges and rewards, or even if you’re just interested in seeing what non-industrial agriculture looks like, I highly recommend checking these out.
