When it comes to year-round food production, Vermont isn’t Southern California—but with movable greenhouses and year-round production techniques like those developed and popularized by Eliot Coleman  (The Winter Harvest Handbook ), maybe we don’t have to be.
Pete’s Greens is a four season organic vegetable farm in Craftsbury. Eva talks to Pete and Meg about the current farming trend, local food as the new growth industry in rural areas and the idea that VT could one day feed itself.
