The Tiny Dream Home with the Tiny Carbon Footprint

When it comes to living lightly on the soil, Dee Williams is a stone-cold pro.

Dee’s quest to reduce her impact on the planet led her to create her dream home: a teeny-tiny mobile cabin—complete with 11-foot high ceilings, a skylight, solar panels, propane heating, and her own carbon-free fridge [1]—which she hauls around in a 50-50 diesel/biodiesel-fuel truck. It’s about as close to living like a turtle, carrying her home around on her back, as a human can get.

Positive change begins at home. So when Dee Williams decided to change her life, thats where she started. In fact, she redefined what “home” meant, right down to what it was, and where it could go.
