It makes sense for Morocco to greatly increase its commitment to solar power, given how much sunlight the area gets. Other places with abundant sunshine, take note (I’m looking at you, Arizona, Florida, Puerto Rico, etc.).
From Gizmodo:
Apparently Morocco gets 3,000 hours of reliable sun power a year, so it’s not surprising the government is building five solar power plants in the next decade, which will generate 40 per cent of the country’s electricity.
