		<description>Great article and very informative. I agree that a leaf diverter is very necessary if you have folage around your house. Also the screen is very useful for the mosquitos. They can carry a lot of disese.</description>

		<description>Half round gutters are less likely to puddle than flat bottomed gutters. Clearing branches from overhanging the roof and running a wire above the ridge will prevent most animal and bird droppings. A leaf diverter under the gutter spigot and above the first flush pipe is better than a level screen as it is self cleaning. A mosquito screen should follow and the tank (cistern) isolated from mosquitoes. The tank overflow needs to syphon from a grid of holed pipes in the bottom of the tank. The tank outlet for drinking needs to be 200(8") above the drain outlet to be above the dead zone.  A floating outlet just below the oxygenated water surface is ideal.</description>
