The goals of the Summit are to examine the current status of women in politics at both a state and municipal level; share lessons and strategies to strengthen women's impact and entrance into politics; create a state-wide network among women's political organizations and track progress over time; generate action plans for increasing women's representation within the state of Ohio that are concrete and feasible for implementation; develop targets for increased representation and influence; and create a strategy to educate and mentor girls who have a future interest in politics as a possible career path.
