I had the good fortune to meet Nathan Winters at The Round Barn Farm’s Great Locavore Tweetup last month. He had, seventeen days before, dipped the back tire of his bicycle in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Belfast, Maine . This act marked the beginning of what will be a transcontinental journey exploring all that’s good and green across our great nation. Since that morning in early May, Nathan has been bicycling his way across the northeast—chronicling his eco-conscious traveling and visits in every digital way possible: blog, twitter , flickr , facebook, youtube , and on and on. Nathan describes this journey as “an adventurous, real time and interactive bike ride across America dedicated to raising awareness for land and nature conservation.” Nathan’s not only raising awareness. He’s also trying to raise $50,000 in donations for The Nature Conservancy . I recommend you check out his blog and Twitter feed especially. Also, to reward this intrepid gent for his heroic undertaking, toss him $10 if you have it to spare.
