Matter Bookstore, one of our green partners  in Fort Collins, CO, will be screening Collapse, the Chris Smith documentary that catapulted author Michael C. Ruppert  to national prominence, later this month. If you plan to be in the area, drop in and learn about confronting peak oil and building community resilience. Premiere screening of the new documentary, COLLAPSE, reading by CSU professor and climate change activist John Calderazzo, followed by a Townhall Meeting on local efforts to confront Peak Oil and Build Community Resiliency, Thursday, January 21st, 7pm, Free. Additional Screening of the film only on Saturday, January 23rd, 7pm, Free.
On January 21st, 2010 at 7pm, The Bean Cycle and Matter Bookstore will screen the new documentary COLLAPSE, a film about the possible demise of our civilization, as well as host author John Calderazzo reading his Climate Change Activist Manifesto. After the reading and film, Todd Simmons, Publisher of the local journal Matter and MatterDaily.org, will lead a Townhall Meeting on local efforts to confront Peak Oil and Build Community Resiliency.
COLLAPSE has been garnishing rave reviews from all over the country, from The New York Times to Roger Ebert. See reviews here.  The Bean Cycle/Matter Bookstore will screen the film on Thursday, January 21st (7pm) and again on Saturday, January 23rd (7pm). Both screenings are free and open to the public, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Donations will be accepted for MatterDaily.org, a community website focused on local issues.
