Faiz Shakir, currently the research director at the Center for American Progress in Washington, D.C., has been a researcher for the Democratic National Committee, a U.S. Senate legislative aide on veterans affairs, and a White House communications aide. He holds a B.A. degree in Government from Harvard University and a J.D. degree from the Georgetown Law Center.
